Idea — In Task-Based Learning (Willis), learners complete a communicative task first; language work comes second. The task creates real communicative need; the language feedback addresses what they needed to do it better.
Example — Task: plan a class event (date, venue, menu, budget). Learners negotiate in English. Post-task: teacher highlights useful language from what she heard during monitoring.
Try — Design a TBL speaking task: a decision with a real outcome your class cares about. Run the task with no pre-teaching. Note what language they attempt. Feed that back after.
