ELT365 · Day 200 — Editing

July 17, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Editing is the revision of one’s own writing for accuracy — grammar, punctuation, word choice. It requires learners to distance themselves from their own text.

Example — After drafting, give learners a simple checklist: verb tense? Article use? Sentence boundaries?

Try — Create a five-item editing checklist for a level-appropriate error type. Give it to learners to apply to their own draft before submission.
