Idea — Images, maps, graphs, or short written prompts shown before or during a listening task reduce cognitive load and anchor understanding. They provide the non-verbal context that a live conversation provides naturally.

Example — Before a weather forecast listening, show a blank map with four cities marked. Learners write the forecast next to each city as they listen.

Try — Find one listening task you already use that has no visual support. Add one image shown before the audio. Teach it and compare comprehension to last time.
