ELT365 · Day 157 — The Detail Task

July 16, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — A detail task demands specific information — facts, figures, names, sequences. It comes after the gist task, never before.

Example — ‘How much did the flat cost per month?’ is a detail question. It requires locating a number, not understanding the whole text.

Try — Take any text. Write three detail questions targeting different parts. Underline where each answer appears.
