ELT365 · Day 209 — Reading Into Writing

July 18, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Reading-into-writing tasks use a text as a model — learners read, analyse the structure, then produce their own version on a new topic.

Example — Learners read a product review, identify the structure (pro / con / conclusion), then write a review of something they own.

Try — Choose a short model text. Write three analysis questions that reveal its structure. Then set a parallel writing task on a different topic.
