ELT365 · Day 156 — Predicting before you listen
Idea — Prediction activates schema, focuses attention, and gives learners a genuine reason to listen. It is the most underused pre-listening technique.
Example — Show a photo of a busy airport and ask “What might these people be talking about?” before playing a dialogue set there.
Try — Write one prediction task for a listening text you teach this week.
