A good lesson aim is learner-facing and observable: ‘By the end, learners will be better able to…’ Avoid teacher behaviour (‘I will teach…’) as the aim.
Example
Weak: ‘To teach the present perfect.’ Strong: ‘By the end, learners will be better able to use the present perfect to describe recent experiences.’
Try
Take the aim of your last three lessons and rewrite each one in SWBAT (Students Will Be Able To) format.
