ELT365 · Day 204 — Songs and chants in the young learner classroom
Idea — Repetition in songs and chants drills rhythm, pronunciation, and vocabulary with zero tedium. Young learners do not tire of a song they enjoy.
Example — Head, shoulders, knees and toes teaches body parts through kinaesthetic reinforcement. The ABC song makes sequence memorable.
Try — Find one chant that practises a grammar point — not just vocabulary — and use it this week.
