Idea — Good multiple-choice distractors come from genuine misreadings, not random wrong answers. Each distractor should plausibly mislead a weak reader.

Example — If the answer is ‘She left because she was bored,’ one distractor might be ‘She left because of the cost’ — plausible but absent from the text.

Try — Write one multiple-choice question for a text. Test your distractors: would a weak reader actually choose each one?
