ELT365 · Day 166 — True / False / Not Given

📚60-Day ELT Masterclass — This post is part of an ongoing series. View full index →

Idea — True/False/Not Given tasks include a third option for information absent from the text — a harder skill than True/False alone.

Example — ‘The company was founded in 1990.’ If the text only says ‘founded in the 1990s,’ the answer is Not Given.

Try — Write five T/F/NG statements for a text. Include at least two ‘Not Given’ items referencing plausible but absent facts.
