ELT365 · Day 194 — Monitoring Speaking Tasks

July 17, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — While learners speak, the teacher circulates and notes language — good examples and errors — for feedback after, not during.

Example — A teacher hears ‘He suggest to go’ and notes it. During feedback: ‘I heard this — what’s the correct form?’

Try — Set a speaking task. During it, write down five language samples — at least two correct. Use them all in delayed feedback.
