Idea — After comprehension, learners should do something with the content. A productive follow-up — discussion, writing, roleplay — consolidates language and creates a genuine communication purpose.
Example — After a job-interview listening, learners roleplay their own interview using vocabulary from the audio. Comprehension becomes the springboard.
Try — Take a reading task you use. If there is no productive follow-up, design one that draws on language from the text.
