Idea — Video adds a visual channel to listening, which can support or distract depending on the task. Watch without sound first to build prediction; then watch with sound. Or use sound only first, then add the visual.
Example — Play a 60-second video clip without sound. Ask: what do you think is happening? Play again with sound. Ask: what did you miss that the audio revealed?
Try — Next time you use a video, sequence it: silent watch → predict → watch with sound → confirm or revise. Notice what the two passes reveal about comprehension.
