ELT365 · Day 244 — Why Plan Lessons?
Idea
A lesson plan is a tool for thinking — not a script. It forces you to articulate what you want learners to achieve and how you will get them there.
Example
The plan you write on paper and the lesson you teach will differ. The plan’s value is not prediction; it is the thinking it produces beforehand.
Try
Find a lesson you taught recently with no written plan. Write the plan retrospectively. Note what was missing.
