ELT365 · Day 245 — The Lesson Plan vs the Lesson
Idea
A written plan is a hypothesis; the lesson is the experiment. Experienced teachers deviate from plans when learners need something different — but only because they planned well.
Example
If a vocabulary task takes twice as long as planned, the plan tells you what to cut. Without it, you have no anchor.
Try
After your next lesson, annotate your plan with what actually happened. Use a different colour. Compare them.
