Idea — An open task has no fixed right answer and can be completed at any level of depth. It differentiates naturally without requiring the teacher to write three separate versions.

Example — “Write a description of your neighbourhood.” A1 writes three sentences; B2 writes a structured paragraph with contrast and opinion. Same task; different outcomes.

Try — Find one closed task in your current materials and make it open by removing the fixed answer constraint.
