ELT365 · Day 192 — The feedback slot — delayed error correction

June 30, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — After a speaking task, write errors on the board anonymously, elicit the correct form, drill it briefly. Learners hear their own output corrected without being stopped mid-task.

Example — Board: ‘I have been to the cinema yesterday.’ Elicit: what is wrong? What is the fix? Drill the correct version chorally.

Try — Plan a three-minute feedback slot for your next speaking activity. Choose four to six errors you are likely to hear. Write the board prompts now.
