ELT365 · Day 188 — Role-Play: Context, Cards, Correction Window

July 7, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Role-plays succeed when learners know their character, situation, and goal before they begin. Context cards do this work. Correction happens after — never interrupt a role-play mid-scene.

Example — Card: “You are a customer. Your order arrived damaged. You want a replacement, not a refund.” That is character, situation, and goal — nothing more.

Try — Write one role-play context card for a B1 class. Include: who you are, what the situation is, what you want. Keep it to three sentences.
