ELT365 · Day 159 — Detailed Listening Tasks

June 26, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Detailed tasks target specific information — facts, figures, sequences, names. They require a second or third listen and focus attention on precision.

Example — ‘What three reasons does the speaker give?’ demands close attention to sequencing and specific content, not just global meaning.

Try — Design a detailed task with exactly three target items for a two-minute audio. Write an answer key. Notice how precise your task language must be.
