Word Families

Learn one root word and unlock an entire family of four

From Sourov’s world: When I was preparing for IELTS as an IELTS Specialist, I had a breakthrough moment. I realised that manage, management, managerial, and unmanageable are all the same word wearing different clothes. I had managed up to 15 staff at Merivale — I knew the concept. I just needed to learn the family. Once I understood suffixes and prefixes, my vocabulary score jumped dramatically. Learn one root, unlock four words.

📚 Word Focus

Word families share the same root. We change the form using suffixes (endings) and prefixes (beginnings).
