Data on a slide means nothing without a sentence to interpret it. Three phrases work in any presentation.
Examples
- ‘The figures show that…’
- ‘This represents a [X]% increase compared to…’
- ‘What this tells us is…’
Practice
Find a chart or statistic in any report. Write three sentences using one phrase each. Read them aloud. Do they sound professional?
Takeaway: Interpret data — don’t just display it.
