Present Simple: Talking About Habits and Routines (A1)
π From the classroom: When I arrived in La RΓ©union and started teaching, my first lesson was Present Simple. I used my own morning as the context: I wake up at 5am. I drink black coffee. I watch the volcano. Students immediately understood β because routines are universal.
π‘ The Idea
We use the Present Simple to talk about habits, routines, and facts that are always true. For he/she/it, add -s to the verb. Use do/does + not for negatives. Use do/does to ask questions.

β Habits: I wake up at 5am. She drinks coffee every morning.
β Facts: The sun rises in the east.
β Question: Do you eat breakfast? Does she walk to school?
β Error: She wake up early. β She wakes up early.
