Present Continuous — What’s Happening Right Now? | English for Kids A2

Use present continuous for what is happening NOW!

Form: am / is / are + verb-ing

  • “I am reading a book.” (right now!)
  • “She is writing her homework.”
  • “We are playing football.”

Not now, but habitual?

Use simple present: “I play football on Saturdays.”

Practice

Look around you. Write 3 sentences: “My [friend] is ___ing.”
