🕐 Why This Matters
Asking and telling the time is one of the most useful things in English. In Sydney, I had to be on time for every shift — and I had to understand when customers asked me what time things closed.
🕐 How to Tell the Time

| 3:15 | quarter past three | three fifteen |
| 3:30 | half past three | three thirty |
| 3:45 | quarter to four | three forty-five |
| 3:50 | ten to four | three fifty |
Say these in English:
- 7:15
- 11:30
- 8:45
- What time do you wake up? Write it in English.
