English animal words are fun. Some you say loud — LION! Some are soft — mouse.

• Farm: cow, pig, horse, chicken
• Wild: lion, elephant, monkey, snake

Practice

Say each animal and make its sound. Moo for cow, oink for pig, roar for lion. Which sound makes you laugh?

Takeaway: Animals are great first vocabulary because you can act them out.
