Idea — Speaking and writing reinforce each other: speaking first generates ideas; writing consolidates language form. Both directions work.

Example — Learners discuss a problem in pairs, then write a paragraph summarising their solution. The spoken ideas become the written content.

Try — Set a speaking task, then ask learners to write one or two sentences summarising what they said. Same ideas, different mode.
