ELT365 · Day 210 — Linking speaking and writing

June 23, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Productive skills reinforce each other: discuss then write, or draft then present. Pairing them gives writing an audience and speaking a record, and mirrors how the skills work in real life.

Example — Learners debate a topic, then write the argument they defended — speech feeds the text.

Try — Add a speaking step before your next writing task, or a writing step after a discussion. Let one feed the other.
