ELT365 · Day 193 — Drilling for Speaking

July 17, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Drilling is not mindless repetition — done well, it builds accurate pronunciation and intonation before a pattern becomes automatic.

Example — Choral drill first: everyone says the model together. Then individual drill: each learner produces it alone.

Try — Drill one sentence from your next lesson chorally three times, then individually with five learners. Listen for stress, not just words.
