ELT365 · Day 176 — Reading Circles

June 26, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Reading circles assign roles — summariser, questioner, connector, vocabulary detective — so every learner processes the same text differently and shares findings.

Example — The questioner writes three questions; the connector links to real life; the vocabulary detective finds three words worth knowing. All discuss.

Try — Assign roles for a text next lesson. Debrief: which role forced the deepest engagement?
