ELT365 · Day 161 — Extensive Reading

July 16, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — Extensive reading means reading large amounts of easy text for pleasure or general comprehension — not stopping to analyse every word.

Example — A B1 learner reading graded readers at their level for 15 minutes a day is doing extensive reading.

Try — Find one graded reader or short article at your learners’ level. Recommend it for home reading with no exercises attached.
