ELT365 · Day 237 — Monitoring Pair and Group Work

📚60-Day ELT Masterclass — This post is part of an ongoing series. View full index →

Idea

Monitoring is purposeful observation: you are listening for content (task completion) and language (for feedback). It is not tidying the desk or waiting.

Example

Carry a notepad. Note two or three language points you hear — accurate examples to highlight and errors to address in delayed feedback.

Try

In your next monitoring stage, write down one thing a learner said well and one error that was common. Plan how to use both.
