ELT365 · Day 228 — Keeping Learners on Task
Idea
Task design drives on-task behaviour. If learners go off-task consistently, the task may be too easy, too hard, or the outcome too unclear.
Example
Adding a visible product — ‘Write your three answers on the card’ — keeps a group task anchored. Remove the product and drift follows.
Try
Review your last lesson plan. Does each task have a clear, observable outcome? Revise any that do not.
