Idea — Professional emails follow a predictable structure: greeting → purpose → body → request or next step → close. Teaching the moves explicitly saves learners from burying the request or omitting the purpose.
Example — Learners often write: “Hello, I hope you are well, I wanted to know about…” — the purpose arrives late. Teach: purpose in sentence one, always.
Try — Give learners an effective professional email. Ask them to label each move. Then give a scenario and ask them to write only the opening move — one sentence.
