Idea — Process writing treats the written text as the result of stages: brainstorm → plan → draft → revise → edit. Focusing only on the final product skips the thinking that produces good writing.

Example — A product approach marks the essay. A process approach gives feedback on the plan, then the draft, then the final version. Learners improve between stages.

Try — Add a planning stage to your next writing task. Give learners 5 minutes to write a bullet-point plan before drafting. Collect the plan, not the essay, for a first feedback round.
