Idea — Intensive reading is short, close and teacher-led; extensive reading is long, easy and pleasure-driven. Both matter — intensive builds skills, extensive builds fluency and vocabulary through volume.

Example — A graded reader on the bus is extensive; dissecting a poem in class is intensive.

Try — Audit last month's reading work. If it was all intensive, plan one extensive option — a graded reader or easy article for enjoyment.
