Idea — Bottom-up reading processes phoneme to word, word to clause. It is essential for new scripts, low-frequency vocabulary, or technical precision where context cannot compensate.

Example — A nurse reading a drug dosage must decode bottom-up — every milligram matters; “0.5” misread as “5” cannot be corrected by context.

Try — Choose a short paragraph with three technical terms. Remove context clues. Can learners still decode the meaning accurately?
