ELT365 · Day 169 — Post-listening tasks that develop the text
Idea — Post-listening is where language learning deepens. The text becomes a springboard: discuss opinions, analyse the grammar, role-play a follow-up. “Discuss in pairs” is not a post-listening task.
Example — After a job interview dialogue, learners analyse the interviewer’s questions, then conduct their own interview using the same structure.
Try — Replace an open “discuss in pairs” with a structured post-listening task for your next lesson.
