Idea — Intensive reading asks learners to process a short text very carefully: every word, every grammatical signal, every implication. It is the opposite of skimming. Use it with short, rich texts where the detail matters.

Example — A legal clause, a poem, or a contract sentence. Learners read once, then answer detailed inference questions that require them to track meaning across the whole text.

Try — Select a text of 60–80 words. Write three questions that cannot be answered without reading every sentence carefully. This is your intensive reading task.
