Idea — Video adds non-verbal cues — gesture, facial expression, setting — that reduce cognitive load and model authentic interaction more fully than audio alone.
Example — The same dialogue is measurably harder as audio-only than as video. Removing the visual track removes roughly a third of the meaning signal.
Try — Use a clip with subtitles off. Watch once for gist, once for detail. Note which visual cues carried meaning. Was anything misleading?
