Idea — Coherence is whether ideas hang together logically; cohesion is the surface glue — pronouns, linkers, repetition — that signals the links. Learners often have ideas but lack the glue.

Example — "I was tired. I went to bed." coheres; adding "so" makes the link explicit and cohesive.

Try — Take a choppy learner paragraph. Add two cohesive devices (a pronoun, a linker) and show how the flow improves.
