ELT365 · Day 188 — Information-Gap Activities

July 17, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Idea — In an information-gap task, each learner holds different information. Sharing it is the task. This creates genuine need to speak and listen.

Example — Student A has a train timetable. Student B has the ticket prices. Neither can complete the booking alone.

Try — Take any text or data set. Split the information in two. Write instructions so each student knows what they have and what they need.
