Idea — An information gap is the simplest communicative speaking task: student A holds information that B needs, and vice versa. Speaking happens because it must.

Example — Student A has a train timetable with three times missing. Student B has those missing times but different gaps. They ask and answer until both tables are complete.

Try — Design one information gap task using a topic from your current unit. Write what each student knows that the other needs.
