Idea — “True” = confirmed by the text. “False” = contradicted by the text. “Not given” = neither confirmed nor contradicted. Conflating false and not given is the most common test error.

Example — Text: “The meeting was on Tuesday.” Q: “The meeting lasted two hours.” Answer: Not Given — the text does not address duration at all.

Try — Write three statements per category from a short text. Ask learners to justify each answer by citing the exact line that proves it.
