Idea — After the gist listen, set a detailed task for the second listen. Learners now search for specific information and may need a third listen or a pause.

Example — Second listen: ‘What three things does the man suggest? Write them down.’ This demands focused attention and note-taking.

Try — Design a detail task — three to four specific questions — for a listening you already use. Make sure every answer is clearly stated in the audio.
