Idea — Authentic texts are designed for native speakers; adapted texts are simplified for learners. Neither is always right — the choice depends on level, task, and learning aim.

Example — A B1 class reading a newspaper editorial unedited will hit too many unknown words. A graded version reduces load but removes natural discourse features.

Try — Take one authentic sentence and rewrite it at A2, B1, and B2. Compare what each version gains and loses in authenticity and accessibility.
