Idea — A good pre-listening stage activates relevant knowledge and sets a purpose. Without it, the audio lands in a vacuum and comprehension drops.

Example — Before a podcast about remote work, ask: ‘Do you prefer working from home or an office? Why?’ The discussion primes vocabulary and topic.

Try — Design a two-minute pre-listening stage for a news report on climate change. Use one question — not a vocabulary list.
