Modal Verbs for Advice: Should, Ought to, Had better (B1)

πŸŽ™ From the classroom: The best advice I ever received in a kitchen: ‘You should taste before you season.’ Twenty years later I still hear it. Modal verbs of advice are the grammar of good mentors β€” and learners use them constantly in speaking tasks.

Had better = strong advice β€” often warning of consequences.
All take base verb (no -s, no to). Negative: shouldn’t / ought not to / had better not.
