Your Story in English: Personal Introduction

Lesson aim: Learn how to introduce yourself in English using simple, clear phrases — covering your name, where you’re from, where you live, what you do, and one interesting fact about yourself.
“My name is Sourov. I grew up in Chittagong, a coastal city in Bangladesh. I moved to Sydney in 2005, then to France, and now I live and teach in La Réunion — a French island in the Indian Ocean. People always ask, ‘Where is that exactly?’ And I say: imagine a small, green, volcanic island between Madagascar and Mauritius. That’s home now.”

— Sourov Deb, English teacher, La Réunion
