July 15, 2026 · Sourov · 1 min read

Four situations come up in every English-language interview. A ready phrase for each reduces anxiety and keeps you sounding fluent under pressure.

Examples

  • ‘That’s a great question — let me think about that for a moment.’
  • ‘In my experience…’
  • ‘One example of this would be…’
  • ‘I’m particularly interested in this role because…’

Practice

Record yourself answering ‘Tell me about yourself’ using at least two of these phrases. Play it back. What sounds strong? What needs one more rehearsal?

Takeaway: Preparation is not cheating — it is respect for the opportunity.
