ELT365 · Day 223 — Transitions Between Stages
Idea
The moment between stages — ending pair work, moving to feedback — is where lessons lose momentum. Prepare signalling language in advance.
Example
‘Good. Let’s get some answers on the board.’ Pause. Wait for pens down. Then: ‘Who had something interesting?’ — not ‘Did anyone get it right?’
Try
Write the transition sentence you will use to move from your next task into whole-class feedback.
